Andrew and Ashley met in 2010. Ashley was a full on city girl and was brought into the agriculture industry alongside Andrew and his family farm. With grain farming under both their belts for some time it was Ashley's desire to get into the cattle industry.
Andrew is in charge of farming just over 1000 acres of grain/hay land, with help from the kids w. Ashley is solely responsible for the Purebred and Commercial Simmental herd calving in January and February. The bull prospects, replacement heifers, 4H steers and the farm to table beef program, are all Ashley's specialty. With continuing education under her belt, Ashley strives to bring the best quality of beef to your home! The farm could not operate as smoothly as it does without the help from Andrews parents Don and Josie.
Josie provides assistance with watching the kids in the evenings and weekends when needed, as well as delicious meals in the field. You can find Don busy building shelters, and all around errand man year round! |
About our beef
Happy and Healthy
The health and welfare of our cattle are at the core of our operation. We follow a comprehensive health management program that prioritizes animal well-being, food safety, and environmental responsibilities. Our practices include but not limited to:
Vaccinations: Our cattle are vaccinated according to veterinarian-recommended schedules to protect against common diseases and to promote overall herd health.
Antibiotic Use: Antibiotics are used responsibly and only when necessary for animal welfare, under strict veterinarian guidelines/supervision. We adhere to all recommended withdrawal periods.
Our entire herd health program is guided by licensed, trusted veterinarians who oversee all medical treatments, nutrition plans, and preventative health protocols in partnership with a nutritionist. Perepelkin Farms strictly follows all Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) guidelines and national standards for animal care food and safety. We are committed to transparency, traceability, and maintaining the highest level of compliance with federal regulations.
